No one likes being sent to voicemail. Calls will continue to be answered by humans during business hours, so that we maintain transparency and a personalized touch at the Larimer County Treasurer's office.

Larimer County currently has a AAA credit rating with Moody's. This means the current Treasurer has been doing everything right. If elected, Steve will maintain the same level of fiscal responsibility and immaculate bookkeeping needed to keep that perfect rating.
Every penny you earn is time you aren't spending with your loved ones, or chasing your dreams. It's time you can never get back. Steve sees the human cost behind your taxpayer dollars. As such, he will do everything in his power to protect every hard-earned cent.
When the budget inevitably gets challenging, Steve will roll up his sleeves and say, "Challenge Accepted. How do we make this work for the taxpayers?" instead of simply responding with, "No."
If it isn't broken, why change a thing? The Larimer County Treasurer's budget has been lean for decades, and Steve intends to keep it that way.
All government agencies should have a "no waste policy" in place, but it must start with the Treasurer's office first and foremost.

Steve is passionate about sharing resources on financial success. As Treasurer, he won't just care about your tax dollars—he'll care about your financial success, too.
Younger generations are unfortunately feeling less and less optimistic about their fiscal futures. That's why his first initiative as Treasurer will be to provide some of his favorite financial literacy resources free of charge to Larimer County's citizens. Sometimes, the biggest barrier between you and financial success is just knowledge you haven't been exposed to yet.
Larimer County has been my home for almost 30 years, and I mean it when I say there's nowhere else I'd rather be. I've watched our county grow, raised my grandkids here, and built a life in this community alongside so many of you. But lately, something's shifted. The cost of living has climbed so high that very few of the kids raised here can afford to stay, and that hits close to home for me—literally.
Taxes are a large part of the increase in cost of living, and I know they're a sore subject for everyone. In fact, I wish paying taxes wasn't even a thing. But the reality is, those taxes pay for the schools our county's children attend, the courts that protect our rights, public health services, and the county jail that keeps criminals off our streets. These are all things we genuinely need.
The key is, how do we minimize waste and make those tax dollars serve the taxpayers?
That's where the Treasurer comes in, and it's a bigger job than most people realize. It's not just about collecting taxes. It's about being a good steward of your money, keeping things transparent, making bureaucracy easier for regular people to navigate, and investing public funds wisely so that every dollar is working for you, the taxpayer.
I see how important the role of the Treasurer is in the grand scheme of our county's continued growth, and that's why I'm throwing my hat in the ring for office.
I've spent my career in both public service and the private sector, and during my years of service I developed a reputation of integrity, trustworthiness, and openness. I want to bring those same qualities to the Treasurer's office by being someone you can count on to be straight with you and to protect your hard-earned money. I can't do anything to make taxes disappear, but I can—and I will—do everything in my power to make sure those tax dollars are used wisely.
Here's the thing: I can't do this without your support.
I'd be truly honored to have you join my election team, whether it's in the form of volunteering, getting our message out, or even just donating to my campaign... Business cards, yard signs, advertisements, and the many other aspects of a campaign do take money, unfortunately.
This community has given my family so much, and I would love the chance to give something back. Help me win this election, so that I can serve you, the taxpayer.
Sincerely,
